I hope each of you have had a wonderful start to 2012! Once again, I have decided to take time from my day-to-day madness and enjoy some time being crafty. Somehow how that did not work to well for me at the beginning of the school year, but thankfully I have a mid-year "new" start to try again.
I have completed my first challenge of the new year and it comes from Color Throwdown. The color challenge was Real Red, Real Black, and Silver or Gray. I used:
- red and black paper from Wausau Paper Classics Cardstock
- printed paper from the Assorted Designer Pack from Hobby Lobby
- studio g red glitter glue
- JoAnn CraftEssentials Black Embossing Powder
- Cricut "Graphically Speaking" cartridge
I used the "me & you" selection cutting each at 7". The background was cut off the "phrase" selection on "shift". It was cut at 7", too. I tucked the ampersand (&) into the frame and then outlined it with the glitter glue. I embossed "me" and "you" and adhered them to the frame.
Once again, I enjoyed being crafty... Question is -- who do I give it to? :)
Happy January!
